What does a Head of Sales Development do?

As the Head of Sales Development, you will be in charge of driving the growth of the company's sales development function. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain and develop new business opportunities. You will lead a team of sales development professionals, manage and monitor their performance, and ensure that they are meeting company goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders and customers to drive performance and success. You will act as a mentor and coach to your team, and ensure that they have the guidance and support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities of Head of Sales Development

1. Develop and manage sales strategies and plans to increase market share.
2. Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify sales opportunities.
3. Lead sales teams in order to meet and exceed sales goals.
4. Develop and monitor sales performance metrics to ensure success.
5. Identify and cultivate relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
6. Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts and other financial reports.
7. Create, implement and monitor effective sales processes and procedures.
8. Research and recommend new products and services to meet customer needs.
9. Monitor and stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
10. Act as a liaison between sales and other departments to facilitate a collaborative environment.
