What does a Head of Quality Management do?

The Head of Quality Management will be responsible for leading the Quality Management Department to ensure product and service quality meets or exceeds established standards. This individual will be in charge of developing and implementing quality management systems in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and management skills and a comprehensive knowledge of quality management principles and techniques. They will be able to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to achieve quality targets. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for driving continuous improvement in the organization.

Responsibilities of Head of Quality Management

1. Develop and implement quality management policies, systems and procedures.
2. Define and maintain Quality Objectives and KPIs.
3. Monitor and analyze quality trends and customer feedback.
4. Oversee and manage quality assurance activities.
5. Lead and coordinate internal and external audit activities.
6. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards.
7. Develop and manage budgets for quality assurance activities.
8. Design and implement quality training programs.
9. Monitor product and process design activities.
10. Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
