What does a Financial Reporting Manager do?
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting of the organization. This position works closely with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure that the organization meets its financial reporting objectives. The Financial Reporting Manager will manage the preparation of all financial reports, lead the preparation of financial statements, maintain the financial reporting system and ensure adherence to accounting regulations and standards. This individual also serves as the primary point of contact for external auditors, working with them to complete annual audits. Responsibilities of Financial Reporting Manager
1. Develop and prepare financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
2. Monitor and analyze financial performance and trends to identify risks and opportunities.
3. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
4. Manage and coordinate the annual audit process.
5. Assist in the development of business plans, forecasts and budgets.
6. Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
7. Support the business with budgeting and forecasting.
8. Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
10. Stay up to date on industry and regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
