What does a Finance Operations Lead do?
The Finance Operations Lead will be responsible for leading and managing the financial operations and activities of the organization. This role will ensure the accuracy, integrity and timely processing of all financial transactions. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, detailed individual who can build and maintain internal and external relationships, effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize conflicting demands. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial operations and a proven track record of successful financial management and leading teams.
Responsibilities of Finance Operations Lead
1. Lead the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
3. Oversee cash flow management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
4. Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
5. Manage and maintain financial systems.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
7. Monitor and analyze financial performance and recommend strategies for improvement.
8. Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks and auditors.
9. Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with the external auditors.
10. Train and develop finance staff.
