What does a Finance Accounting Manager do?
As a Finance Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial operations of the business. You will manage a team of accounting staff and work closely with the CFO and other senior leaders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. You will manage the financial planning and budgeting processes, lead the month-end close process, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
Responsibilities of Finance Accounting Manager
1. Oversee the financial operations of the company and ensure compliance with accepted accounting principles, laws and regulations
2. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
3. Establish and implement processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
4. Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
5. Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll
6. Analyze financial data and develop financial models to forecast future performance
7. Prepare and analyze budgets and financial plans
8. Manage and review audit processes
9. Oversee and manage tax compliance and reporting
10. Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions and other third-party vendors
