What does a Field Auditor do?
The ideal candidate for this position of Field Auditor will possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as an in-depth knowledge of accounting and auditing principles. The Field Auditor will be responsible for performing on-site audits of company financial documents and processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures. The Field Auditor should be able to work independently while maintaining a professional attitude. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of state and federal regulatory requirements and have the ability to develop effective audit plans and reports.
Responsibilities of Field Auditor
1. Develop audit plans and audit programs for assigned audit projects.
2. Perform financial and operational audits of assigned areas.
3. Monitor and review business processes and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
4. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
5. Identify control weaknesses, document findings, and recommend corrective action.
6. Prepare audit reports to communicate results of audit findings.
7. Maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff.
8. Conduct interviews and discussions with management to obtain an understanding of their operations.
9. Stay abreast of changes in the regulatory environment and evaluate the impact on the organization.
10. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
