What does a Facility Technician do?

The Facility Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the company's facilities. This includes conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, coordinating with external vendors, and implementing safety protocols. The Facility Technician will report directly to the Facilities Manager and collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities of Facility Technician

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing systems, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any potential issues or hazards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for repairs and maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing.
• Monitor and maintain the inventory of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols in the facility.
• Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed for facility-related tasks.
