What does a Export Manager do?
We are looking for an experienced Export Manager to join our fast-growing international business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of international trade, including developing new export markets, managing existing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws. The Export Manager will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of global trade and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities of Export Manager
1. Develop and implement export strategies to maximize profits and minimize costs
2. Prepare export documentation such as invoices, packing lists and bills of lading
3. Establish and manage relationships with international partners, including distributors, agents and vendors
4. Monitor international regulations and compliance requirements
5. Negotiate shipping contracts and freight forwarding agreements
6. Liaise with customs authorities and other government bodies to ensure compliance with regulations
7. Develop and maintain export databases, records and reports
8. Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback
9. Address customer inquiries and complaints
10. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize export operations
