What does a Estimator Engineer do?

We are seeking an experienced Estimator Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for projects, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and within budgetary constraints. This position requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members. The successful candidate will be able to quickly understand customer requirements and provide accurate and comprehensive estimates. Responsibilities of Estimator Engineer

1. Develop accurate, timely and cost-effective estimates of labor and materials for engineering projects.

2. Research and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, specifications and other documents to accurately determine project scope, schedule and cost estimates.

3. Develop cost models and other tools to assist in estimating.

4. Prepare, review and present cost estimates to management.

5. Analyze vendor quotations and prepare bid package comparisons.

6. Track and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.

7. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

8. Participate in project meetings and maintain open and effective communication with project team.

9. Monitor changes to project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.

10. Identify cost savings opportunities and recommend process improvements.
