What does a Development Manager do?

The Development Manager is responsible for leading, managing and developing a team of project developers and engineers. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire development process from concept to launch, including project scoping, planning, budgeting, design, development, testing and deployment. The Development Manager will be responsible for leading the team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. The Development Manager will also be responsible for identifying areas of improvement and for motivating and guiding the team to achieve project goals. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities of Development Manager

1. Establish and maintain a development process and methodology to ensure the successful completion of projects.

2. Manage the development team and ensure that tasks are completed within the allotted time frame.

3. Plan and develop software applications to meet customer needs.

4. Monitor and assess the performance of development operations.

6. Develop and maintain technical documentation.
