The Demand Planner is a critical role in the Supply Chain organization, responsible for developing forecasts for short- and long-term product demand, analyzing the current and future market conditions, and creating a plan to fulfill customer requirements. This includes working with sales and marketing teams to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management. The Demand Planner must ensure that the company's supply chain operations are meeting customer needs and meeting overall business objectives. Responsibilities of Demand Planner
1. Develop, maintain and track demand forecasts for all products and SKUs
2. Utilize forecasting techniques to improve accuracy and ensure customer demand is met
3. Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to gather data and ensure demand forecasts are based on the most up-to-date and accurate information
4. Analyze demand trends and monitor customer service levels
5. Prepare and issue weekly, monthly and annual demand forecasts
6. Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts as needed
7. Develop and maintain demand planning models
8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of demand planning processes
9. Manage and maintain the demand planning system
10. Identify and resolve potential supply chain issues related to customer demand and inventory levels
