What does a Courier do?
The Courier is responsible for efficiently delivering packages and documents to various locations within the designated area. They will report directly to the Logistics Manager and collaborate with the team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities of Courier
• Deliver packages and documents to designated locations within specified timeframes
• Ensure the safe and secure transportation of items, following all company policies and procedures
• Collect and sign for packages from clients, verifying their accuracy and completeness
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients and customers
• Utilize navigation tools and maps to plan the most efficient routes for deliveries
• Handle cash and credit card transactions for payment upon delivery, if required
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time of delivery, recipient's name, and any special instructions
• Report any delivery issues or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor or manager
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance department
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles.
