What does a Corporate Tax Accountant do?
As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for providing corporate tax planning and compliance services. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. You will use your expertise to minimize the tax liability of the organization and ensure accurate and timely tax filings. You will collaborate with the internal team as well as external advisors and government representatives to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will also provide guidance and advice on complex corporate tax issues.
Responsibilities of Corporate Tax Accountant
1. Prepare and review tax returns, tax planning and research.
2. Analyze financial statements and other data to determine tax liabilities.
3. Identify and analyze potential tax savings opportunities.
4. Stay up-to-date on changes to tax laws and regulations.
5. Monitor changes in laws and regulations related to corporate taxes.
6. Provide technical advice and support to internal teams and external clients.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel at governmental agencies.
8. Prepare and submit tax payments and other required documentation.
9. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other government agencies.
