What does a Construction Manager do?

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution and successful delivery. The Construction Manager will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, resolving any issues that may arise, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities of Construction Manager

• Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies on construction sites
• Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Procure and manage construction materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction, including changes in scope or unforeseen challenges
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction
