What does a Compensation & Benefit Supervisor do?

The Compensation & Benefits Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s compensation and benefits programs. The successful candidate for this position will have a thorough knowledge of current compensation and benefits issues, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to think strategically and implement tactical plans. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be willing to guide, support, and motivate team members.

Responsibilities of Compensation & Benefit Supervisor

1. Develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits policies and procedures.
2. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits.
3. Establish and maintain competitive salary ranges and bonus plans.
4. Evaluate labor market trends to ensure competitive compensation and benefit plans.
5. Administer and manage employee benefits, such as health insurance, pension plans, and other benefit programs.
6. Develop and manage budgets related to compensation and benefits.
7. Conduct job analyses and salary surveys to determine competitive wages and benefits.
8. Analyze employee benefits data to identify trends and recommend changes to ensure cost-effectiveness.
9. Provide guidance and assistance to managers and human resources staff regarding salary and benefit matters.
10. Develop and manage performance management systems to ensure equity and accuracy.
