What does a Compensation Benefit Manager do?
The Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for managing and administering compensation and benefit programs for the organization. This includes working with senior leadership to design and develop programs, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and provide counsel to employees on benefit-related matters. The successful candidate will be highly organized and possess excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities of Compensation Benefit Manager
1. Design, implement and manage all compensation and benefit programs and policies.
2. Develop and maintain job descriptions and salary ranges for all job roles.
3. Analyze jobs to determine appropriate salary levels and recommend changes to maintain competitive salary levels.
4. Negotiate benefit contracts with vendors.
5. Develop and manage budgets for compensation and benefits programs.
6. Oversee the maintenance of employee records related to compensation and benefits.
7. Monitor government regulations and legislation related to compensation and benefits to ensure compliance.
8. Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the compensation and benefits staff.
9. Evaluate and recommend changes to benefit plans and employee policies.
10. Stay abreast of changes in the field and recommend updates to the organization's compensation and benefits programs.
