What does a Commercial Finance Manager do?
The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and sound commercial advice to the executive team in order to drive business performance. They will have a broad financial control remit and be responsible for managing the financial risks and opportunities of the organization. The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and financial reporting. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and have the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities of Commercial Finance Manager
1. Develop and maintain financial models, reports and analyses to support the achievement of business objectives
2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
3. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
4. Identify and recommend areas of cost savings and process improvements
5. Monitor financial performance and develop strategies to improve results
6. Maintain banking relationships and coordinate cash management activities
7. Manage financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls
8. Negotiate terms with vendors and suppliers
9. Monitor compliance with laws and regulations
10. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
