What does a CNC Programmer do?
The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating and modifying CNC programs to ensure efficient and accurate machining operations. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role involves collaborating with engineers and operators to optimize production processes and troubleshoot any programming issues. The CNC Programmer will also be involved in selecting appropriate cutting tools and materials, as well as conducting quality checks to maintain high standards of precision and productivity.
Responsibilities of CNC Programmer
• Develop and write CNC programs for various machining operations.
• Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the best machining processes and tooling requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications.
