What does a Chief Financial & Operating Officer do?
The Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFO/COO) is a key member of the executive team, responsible for providing operational and financial leadership for our organization. This position will set the strategic direction for our financial, operational and administrative functions, while driving collaboration across the organization. The CFO/COO will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the organization and managing the day-to-day operations. This role requires a highly collaborative leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and who has a passion for creating a culture of financial and operational excellence.
Responsibilities of Chief Financial & Operating Officer
1. Oversee the development and implementation of the financial and operational objectives of the organization.
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with all applicable regulations.
3. Analyze the current financial performance of the organization and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
4. Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
5. Develop and implement plans for the effective use of resources to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.
6. Monitor and analyze the financial performance of current and potential investments.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with external financial partners, including banks and other financial institutions.
8. Manage the budgeting process and ensure that funds are allocated and utilized in a manner that is consistent with the organization's goals and objectives.
9. Oversee all financial transactions and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
10. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
