What does a Chief Commercial Officer do?
The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is responsible for developing and implementing the company's global commercial strategy to maximize revenue, profits and market share. The CCO will provide hands-on leadership to the sales, marketing, product management and customer success departments, while also working closely with the executive team to develop the overall business strategy and set goals. The CCO will be responsible for driving the company’s commercial strategy and developing the team’s ability to deliver on its objectives. Responsibilities of Chief Commercial Officer
1. Develop and implement strategic business plans for the organization’s commercial activities.
2. Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, customers, suppliers and partners.
3. Oversee the development and implementation of pricing and promotional strategies.
4. Monitor and analyze sales performance and develop sales reports.
5. Lead the development of long-term customer relationships and loyalty programs.
6. Ensure that all commercial activities are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Identify areas of potential growth and new business opportunities.
8. Analyze customer feedback and trends in order to develop and implement new strategies.
9. Provide strategic direction and guidance to the sales team.
10. Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial performance of commercial activities.
