What does a Bartender do?

The Bartender is responsible for creating and serving a wide range of beverages to customers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction. This position reports to the Bar Manager, collaborating closely to maintain inventory, uphold cleanliness standards, and provide a welcoming atmosphere. The Bartender will also engage with customers, take orders, and recommend drink options while adhering to all safety and legal regulations.

Responsibilities of Bartender

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take and process drink orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to customer preferences and company standards
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glasses and utensils
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
• Check identification to ensure legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated or underage customers
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly, including processing payments and providing change
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Stay updated on current drink trends, new products, and industry regulations to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience for customers
