What does a Accounting Staff do?
The Accounting Staff is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This includes tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Responsibilities of Accounting Staff
• Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Process and review expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate and timely financial data.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information for various projects and initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and provide recommendations for process improvements.
