This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements and reports, and assisting with the preparation of budgets. Responsibilities of Accounting Specialist
1. Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, trial balance, general ledger, and reconciliations.
2. Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Process payments, refunds, and other transactions.
4. Prepare and review financial reports.
5. Prepare and review budgets and financial forecasts.
6. Monitor and review compliance with internal controls.
7. Research, analyze, and resolve accounting issues.
8. Monitor and reconcile bank accounts.
9. Monitor and process payroll and employee benefits.
10. Liaise with internal and external auditors.
